 se in Little Rock.\n\nThis federal courthouse and former post office was b
 uilt in 1932 to replace the old one on 2nd Street\, which had become too s
 mall for the growing city&rsquo\;s needs. Constructed in the &ldquo\;starv
 ed Classical&rdquo\; style typical of federal buildings in the 1930s\, thi
 s large public building project provided an economic boost during the Grea
 t Depression. During the Central High School integration crisis\, then-law
 yer Thurgood Marshall represented the Little Rock Nine before U.S. Distric
 t Judge Ronald N. Davies in the landmark case Aaron v. Cooper in this cour
 thouse\, with Davies ruling that integration must proceed. A 1957-era cour
 troom has been restored to tell this important story.\n\nNOTE: Photo ID is
  required for entrance. Visitors must also pass through security screening
  and must check in cell phones and smartwatches before proceeding. Onsite 
 public parking is not available\, but there are paid parking lots in downt
 own Little Rock.
